Bucket List

Oh my, it's been a while since I posted. I am out of hibernation now and enjoying summer in Minnesota. My husband and I came up with the idea to create a bucket list. We have a few things to put on it, but haven't thought it out too thoroughly. We just want to do some things in life that we ordinarily wouldn't. Work a little harder. Enjoy life to the fullest. Anyway, a few thoughts for that list are:

1. Record a song(s?) and post on Youtube
2. Run a marathon (maybe we should start with a block?)
3. Attend a Taylor Swift concert
3. Stop drinking soda. (ha, this might take the longest of all!)
4. Lose 15 pounds
5.  Travel to Europe (somewhere, no specifics YET)
6. Travel to Japan (Sanrio Puroland?)
7. Exercise daily
8. Perform on a stage (anywhere - little/big/church/venue, anything will do)
9. Move somewhere warm (not necessarily any time soon!)

Just a few thoughts, why not enjoy life to the fullest, eh?

Oh, and my co-worker told me I am too stylish to be a mom. Who says mom's can't dress fashionable and on a budget - $27 outfit, baby! Thank you @Nordstom Rack!

Smurfily Ever After: Just a sucker

Oh, Halloween. I am never quite sure about this holiday, but as always, it came and went yesterday. My husband loves it (not-so-much), in fact, it is his birthday as well. Not only that, but his golden birthday this year. What a way to celebrate - Trick-or-treat!

So, the kids got dressed up in their Smurf and Princess costumes and ventured out trick-or-treating. They hit up Main Street in Maple Grove on Saturday and then our neighborhood yesterday. Lucky Daddy got the pleasure of taking them 'round the neighborhood while I stayed back and handed out the "treats." As I was doing so, I heard a kid say "All you get at that house is a sucker!" I mean, really, does anyone have to give you anything? And are not the 60 pieces of candy enough for you? I am wondering what my kids thought of this "holiday." Not long after they ventured out, they returned, stuffed noses and coughs. Ready to be done. They only ventured to about 6 houses, perfectly content with their candy. And what does my daughter reach for? A sucker! Let this be a listen to you all. You can be content with "just a sucker." Happy Halloween. Until Next Year...

Happy 5th Birthday Hayden, October 11!

Yesterday, my little man turned five years old. I can't believe it has been that long. He was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin and we now live in St. Michael, MN. How things have changed. I love you so much Hayden Lucas! I hope you had a wonderful birthday on Tuesday, October 11!
